ELIMINATION TRIALS
Proving Worth Through Strength
⚠ THE CONCEPT
Madagascar hissing cockroaches possess exceptional grip strength and powerful legs. When AI identifies a weak link in the colony, the individual gets ONE chance to prove their worth.
These trials test what cockroaches do best — holding on.
Survival means return to colony. This is the only fair method to determine true strength.
01 THE LOG
A rotating log wrapped in sandpaper. Starts slow, accelerates after 5 seconds.
The cockroach must grip the rough surface while rotation speed increases.
TESTS
- Grip strength
- Endurance
- Adaptation to changing conditions
HARDWARE
A58SW31ZY motor (12V, 80 RPM)
02 THE REAPER
A spinning disc that attempts to sweep the cockroach off the platform.
The cockroach must maintain position against centrifugal sweeping force.
TESTS
- Leg strength
- Center of gravity control
- Resistance to lateral force
HARDWARE
MG996R servo (13kg torque, 360°)
03 THE CENTRIFUGE
A rotating platform generating centrifugal force pushing outward.
The cockroach must resist being thrown off the spinning disc.
TESTS
- Maximum grip capacity
- Survival instinct
- Raw holding power
HARDWARE
MG996R servo (13kg torque, 360°)
